Bases for Persistent Income Discrepancies [ send me this paper ] A 7 page paper discussing possible reasons for the wide discrepancy of income levels in the US. Though there are many factors, much of the issue involves risk. As in the stock market, the higher the risk of a venture, the higher the return. Factory workers and teachers, notoriously low-paid, typically have assumed very little risk in their professions, while a pro sport star could suffer a career-ending injury at any time. There is no question that income levels in the US are absurdly skewed, but it also is fitting that those with the most to lose also see the greatest rewards. Bibliography lists 10 sources. Can Economic Theory Explain Occupational Pay Diversity [ send me this paper ] This 6 page paper responds to two general questions: Why do occupations that are more vital to the society paid so little, e.g., nursing, while occupations that are not as vital, such as financial advisors, paid so much more? Does economic theory explain this type of disparity in wages? The answer to the first question must look to reports and articles addressing the wage/salary disparity between men and women because the answer has to do with gender-based jobs. Remember: Not all papers contain examples of thesis statements. Some provide information you can cite in support of your own thesis. To determine if a particular paper provides an exemplary thesis, review its description carefully. If the content suggests that the paper makes an argument or sets out to prove some point, then that paper inherently supports a thesis.
